Hello in there

We saw you today for the first time. I mostly saw your yolk sack, but your little heart was there beating away. It was pretty amazing.

You are due on May 8th, but I don't expect to see you for at least a week after that.

I am starting to feel excited. I was waiting to see a heartbeat before I got too excited, but now, i am feeling fairly comfortable. These next two or three weeks are going to be pretty hectic with the move and everything, but if we can make it through that, i know you are here to stay.

Run in Fear

My upset stomach and acid runs in fear of the antiacids. I have had barely a touch of it since I bought some. I haven't even had to take them.

BUT, running in general may be good for the soul, but it isn't necessarily good for the belly.

We go to the doctor tomorrow. I hope you are still here. I am starting to get worried.

Week 6

From Baby Center

This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil bean.

I don't think it will ever cease to amaze it. I have a little one growing in my tummy. I am going to be a mommy again. I am in awe by the amazing little creature that I will get to know. It is simply amazing.

On another note, my pants are starting to get tight. I don't care what other people say, I gain weight quickly.

Boobs

I think my boobs grew today while I was taking a nap in the back of the car coming back from a site visit. i woke up and something was definitely different. maybe you are here to stay.

The Curse of the Mommy's

It seems like everytime someone talks about a symptom they have I get it. Like last night, a friend was complaining about how she was so tired all she could do was lay around the couch. I felt okay until about 7:30. I was asleep by 8:30.

Still feeling queasy. i made a doctor's appointment for the 18th. That will be over 6 weeks. Hopefully, we will get to see your little heart beating.

Sweet Vacation

Your father and I ditched your sister and went on a shopping spree. It was there that I really started to look at the maternity clothes. I AM NOT READY TO BE FAT AGAIN.

I feel like it hasn't been that long that I have been a normal size. For a while there, I was even getting hot. Now, i feel like my belly has already swelled, and I am not even 5 weeks in. IT SUCKS.

I am starting to feel bad, which is good and bad. Bad because i feel bad, but good because I can assume that things are progressing with you like we planned.

Oh Hope of hopes I want you to stay. I want you to be born in May and give me the summer off. I want you to be born when I finish my degree.
